<p dir="ltr">After a disastrous debut for the live-service shooter earlier this year, Bungie and PlayStation made the decision to move Marathon out of its planned September 23 release date and into next year. During a Q&A session after the company's Q2 earnings call, Sony CFO Lin Tao fielded some questions about not only the game, but Bungie itself, and it seems the longtime development house will soon be fully integrated into the PlayStation Studios family.</p><p dir="ltr">As reported by <a href="https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-cfo-says-marathon-is-expected-to-release-before-march-and-bungies-independence-is-getting-lighter/">VGC</a>, when asked about Marathon's current status and whether or not it will launch in the fiscal year--which ends March 31, 2026--Tao said through an interpreter that the company "factored it in the forecast" and that it "expects the launch to happen within the fiscal year." However, she did also stress that her words were not a confirmation of that target, as "no official announcement has been given yet."</p><p dir="ltr">Tao added that Sony has stepped in to make "modifications in development," and that either Bungie or PlayStation will be able to announce Marathon's new launch date "in the autumn timeframe." And as usual, it included a handful of games that you can play immediately, either with a surprise release or a demo ahead of its full release. The games on offer run the gamut from action-adventures to puzzle and cozy games, so you're sure to find something to strike your fancy among the selections.</p><p>This was the first Indie World presentation since the release of the Switch 2. And while backwards compatibility means that all of the Switch 1 games will run on the newer hardware, the presentation did specify that some of the games are only on Switch 2. The desert-themed Palm Paradise Lego Pass celebrates the drier parts of the Fortnite Battle Royale islands--the first of which was introduced all the way back in Chapter 1 Season 5, which is the season Fortnite OG is currently covering. The new Lego Pass runs until November 11, which is just over three months, and includes a pile of Lego builds inspired by Fortnite's desert locations, the new Danica skin, and an emote and jam track for 1,400 V-Bucks. The Pass is also included with a Fortnite Crew subscription.</p><p dir="ltr">The Danica skin, which includes both a Lego style and a regular Fortnite style so you can use her in Battle Royale and other modes, is unlocked immediately when you buy the pass. As you level up the pass through its 30 tiers of content, you'll unlock four large builds--Tugboat Terrace, Coral Cove, the Lucky Duck Resort, and Sunshine Sands. And to make sure you have appropriate stuff to fill those buildings with, each page of the pass also has tons of decor items that match.</p><p dir="ltr">Aside from the Lego items, the third page of the pass includes the Lil Ducky Train traversal emote that works in both Lego and regular Fortnite form, and the Memories jam track that you can use for making mashups in Lego and other modes. While we've already had Directs dedicated to Pokemon and third-party publishers, the Indie World Showcase is typically focused on smaller games , so you'll probably want to keep your expectations in check.</p><p>This will also be a short livestream that will run for roughly 15 minutes, with new announcements and updates on indie games coming to the Switch systems. It'll be coming to Switch in 2026. </p></p><br/> <p><h2>Neverway</h2><img src="https://www.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_large/1601/16018044/4545661-neverway.jpg" /><br /><p>Described as a nightmarish life-simulator RPG, Neverway puts you in the boots of Fiona, who starts a new life on a farm and becomes the immortal herald of a dead god. It'll be coming to Switch in 2026. </p></p><br/> <p><h2>Herdling</h2><img src="https://www.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_large/1601/16018044/4545662-herdling.jpg" /><br /><p> </p><p>The brand-new adventure from Far developer Okomotive, Herdling combines an epic trip up a mountain summit with managing a herd of adorably fluffy beasts. This will be out soon on August 21 for Switch.</p><p> </p></p><br/> <p><h2>Is This Seat Taken?</h2><img src="https://www.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_super/1601/16018044/4545663-is-this-seat-taken.jpg" /><br /><p>Out now for Switch, Is This Seat Taken? tasks you with putting your spatial skills to the test by deciding who sits where. A job easier said than done, as you'll have to match people and personalities in locations like a cinema, a crowded bus, a wedding reception, or a cramped taxicab. </p></p><br/> <p><img src="https://www.gamespot.com/a/uploads/scale_super/1601/16018044/4545664-little-kitty.jpg" /><br /><p>One of the best games starring an adorable cat--a genre we'll <em>never</em>grow tired of--Little Kitty, Big City is getting some fresh DLC. The Picture Perfect update adds new parts of the neighborhood to explore, even more hats to try on, a photo mode, and cosmetic options to help you crate the perfect kitty--which is obviously a calico. </p></p><br/>
